There has been plenty of chat about Ferrit.co.nz lately so I thought I’d add to it. I noticed a weird looking advert in the bottom of MSN and found upon clicking it that’s an advert for Ferrit.co.nz.

Truly a weird type of advert – it’s like they want to appear dodgy. Maybe it’s designed to make people not realise Ferret is backed by a 4 billion dollar company? People like under dogs :) I can’t say I feel anymore compelled to spend money there.

I agree totally. As far as their Borat-like (see http://www.borat.kz) advertising campaign goes – I think its a “swing and a miss”. They’ve putting enormous energy into that swing but they’re just not connecting with that ball…
I’d be interested to know who their agency is that is running the campaign.

Yeck! They are obviously not targeting me, even though a reasonable number of my purchases are online.

Strange and funny marketing idea. But nope, neither I would get the incentive to buy something going through a site like that first.
But then again, any publicity is good publicity, they might get something out of it after all. In a while people might have forgot the marketing stunt, but remember the name.

Guess they didn’t think to check close addresses like http://www.ferrit.com [p0rn warning] first aye…
